‘Love and appreciate y’all’: Rachel Kolisi leaves Kolisi Foundation
Rachel Kolisi has responded to the news of her departure from the Kolisi Foundation. She co-founded the foundation with Siya in 2019.

Rachel Kolisi, the estranged wife of rugby captain Siya Kolisi, has responded to the news that she has stepped down as CEO of the Kolisi Foundation.
The mother of two has been leading the foundation since 2019, and it appears that her divorce from Kolisi may have influenced her decision to resign.
RACHEL KOLISI LEAVES THE KOLISI FOUNDATION
Rachel Kolisi has parted ways with the Kolisi Foundation, marking the end of one chapter and the start of a new era. She co-founded the organisation with her estranged husband in 2019.
The foundation carries out various charitable initiatives and is dedicated to the vision of transforming stories of inequality in South Africa, with the goal of seeing thriving communities.
In a surprising turn of events, anti-gender-based violence NGO The Justice Desk revealed that Rachel had stepped down from her role at the foundation.
While the foundation did not make an official announcement, she responded to the organisation’s post.
The post read: “Her unwavering support for our work, especially through the iNtsika yeThemba and Mbokodo Programs, has been truly impactful.
“We were saddened to hear that she will no longer be CEO of the Kolisi Foundation, but we know she will continue to do incredible things. Rachel, you will always be a GBV activist at heart, and your impact will be felt for years to come”.
She reacted to the post and wrote: “Love and appreciate you all so much.”
INSIDE THEIR DIVORCE
In October 2024, Siya and Rachel announced their separation via a joint statement on Instagram, emphasising their decision to separate was mutual and amicable.
Together, Siya and Rachel have two children—Nicholas, who is 10, and Keziah, who is 7. They also adopted Siya’s two younger siblings, Liyema and Liphelo, when they were children.
As lovebirds celebrated Valentine’s Day just recently, she opened up about how she felt on the day. The mother of four poured her heart out about parenting amid her divorce.
“We every day, every day anyway. But this Valentine’s Day I made a brave decision and it broke my heart all over again. Parenting when the world feels like it’s crumbling around you is a different kind of challenge. And one I hope I’ll never have to experience at this level again,” she wrote.
“Never been more grateful for the very few who showed up to support and lean in this week, especially.
One day at a time felt too big this week, so I just did one hour at a time, and it kinda helped – I made it to Saturday! 😅❤️,” she said.
