‘Come Dine With Me South Africa’ returns with sizzling 10th season
‘Come Dine With Me South Africa’ is set to return for its tenth season on BBC Lifestyle, premiering on 5th March at 20:00.
The wait is over! Come Dine With Me South Africa is back on BBC Lifestyle (DStv Channel 174) with its tenth season. The new season premieres on Wednesday, 5th March at 20:00.
This SAFTA-winning show promises to bring even more laughter, kitchen chaos, and culinary triumphs to South African screens.
A NEW SEASON OF COME DINE WITH ME
Each week, four strangers will battle it out to host the ultimate dinner party, vying for the coveted R10,000 prize and the title of Best Host, according to IMDB.
The first episode kicks off in Johannesburg, featuring HR Manager Dricus, Creative Consultant Lester, Author Anna, and Sports Coordinator Hilton.
Expect an eccentric mix of flavours, from Peruvian ceviche to Korean BBQ, and some fiery personalities to boot.
FINE DINING
Hilton’s limited palate makes him an easy target for jokes, while Lester’s fine-dining expectations raise some sceptical eyebrows.
“We’ve had unforgettable dinner parties, unexpected friendships, and a whole lot of hilarious disasters in the kitchen,” says Ryan Deacon, the Executive Producer.
“Season 10 promises to be so much bigger, as we travel to Mbombela, Rustenburg, and Bloemfontein for the first time.”
This season will see clashing personalities like a Beauty Queen and an Esoteric Mental Health Guru battling it out for Best Host in Gauteng, according to BBC Africa.
COME DINE WITH ME AND HOSTING SKILLS
The series will also head to Mbombela for the first time, where hosts will go out of their way to impress with Island Style and Around the World inspired menus.
Plus, a Real Housewife of Cape Town will showcase her hosting skills.
“We’re excited to bring this iconic show back to our viewers,” Deacon adds. “Reaching 10 seasons is evidence of how much South Africans love this deliciously chaotic show.”
The show is adapted from the global hit format, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, according to Foot Notes.
MEMORABLE CHARACTERS
The South African edition has served up unforgettable characters like the Pink Lady in Season 7 to some truly bizarre menus like a giraffe neck main in Season 9.
