South African politician Herman Mashaba is currently facing backlash after asking social media users for R30 donations. According to the Action SA leader, R30 donations from supporters will help ActionSA compete with more established political parties.

Many have since slammed the party leader for asking for donations so soon after it was revealed that he had paid R12.5 million for Political analyst Prince Mashele to write his biography.
