Nesquik lovers stockpile discontinued Nestlé drink

South Africans who enjoy Nesquik took to social media this weekend to react to Nestlé discontinuing the flavoured milk drink.

While some South Africans stockpiled Nesquik this past weekend, others shared their disappointed on social media when Nestlé announced that it will discontinue the flavoured milk drink.

Nestlé said it will discontinue Nesquik chocolate and strawberry (250g and 500g) flavoured milk drinks from 21 August 2023.

The company also revealed that it will still be producing Milo, Hot Chocolate, and Cocoa production as “these brands have shown remarkable performance and consumer loyalty”.

The statement reads: “These brands have shown remarkable performance and consumer loyalty, making them the focus of Nestlé’s efforts to build a healthier and sustainable business for the future,” it said. 

Nesquik lovers revealed they’re gonna buy their favourite drink like how they bought toilet paper in 2020, during COVID-19. While others revealed that the drink was too pricey and it was time.
