Cape Town supercar crash: Did driver leave accident scene? [video]
Did the driver of another luxury crash in Cape Town walk away from the accident scene? Take a look at this viral video…

A viral video of another luxury car crash in Cape Town – this time between a Mercedes-Benz and a BMW – has social media users citing foul play.
The head-on collision occurred on Loop Street, revealed emergency personnel. This comes weeks after a Ferrari and McLaren crash in the city.
CAPE TOWN CAR CRASH: DID DRIVER WALK AWAY?
On Friday, 21 March – Human Rights Day, emergency services responded to a collision between a luxury gold BMW and a black Mercedes-Benz in the Cape Town CBD.
Images posted on X showed the mangled cars had collided at the Loop Street and Hout Steet intersection. Minor injuries were reported.
A video that emerged later showed the car crash via CCTV footage. In it, one of the cars is believed to have jumped a red robot and collided with the other.
The clip also saw two males – wearing what appeared to be white and black Islamic cloaks – emerge from the vehicle and walk away. Another still image saw the men allegedly standing in the crowd, away from the accident scene.
According to Capetownetc, an investigation into the crash is underway.
OTHER LUXURY CAR CONTROVERSIES
The head-on collision between the luxury car comes days after Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis revealed that law enforcement had impounded another pricey set of wheels – a R5 million Bentley Bentayga.
In recent weeks, two supercars in the tourist destination have been involved in serious accidents: a McLaren and a Ferrari.
Nigerian rapper 3Gar Baby was behind the McLaren crash earlier this month, which was caught speeding in a residential area. He is facing charges of reckless and negligent driving.
Meanwhile, the driver of the red Ferrari – David Polet – plouged his supercar into two pedestrians on Buitengracht Street in February. One of them – dental surgeon Ncumisa Mdlokolo – died from her injuries.
The driver has been charged with culpable homicide and driving under the influence.
