Arthur Mafokate’s former artist South African musician and dancer Chomee whose real name is Thulisile Madihlaba has been navigating the showbiz industry on her own since leaving 999 Music for Ambitious Records, and Mzansi is curious to know where she is now in her life and what she has been up to.

WHERE IS CHOMEE?

From making hits such as Jiver Sexy, Jika Sik’bone, and more in the early 2000s, Chomee has seemingly gone under the radar, leaving her fans to wonder where she went to.

Speaking to Sunday World in 2020, she was last quoted by Zalebs as saying,

I really need to learn to start doing certain things on my own. I’ve gained so much experience in showbiz, especially because I got into the industry as a kid. I don’t want to say a lot, but watch this space.”

A curious Twitter user wanted to know about Chomee’s whereabouts,

Well, according to her Instagram, it seems Chomee is still pursuing her onstage career and frequently performs at some gigs around South Africa.

She also has gone into business and announced to be part of the board members at Moshito Music Conference and Exhibition.

Chomee still seems to be living well, well enough to own a BMW convertible. She is ever so beautiful, however, does not seem to be married yet as she does not wear a ring on her marital finger nor does she post about being in a relationship on her timelines.

Meanwhile, her former boss Mafokate does not seem to be doing as well as she is. Recently, he has found himself in some legal drama. He was reportedly said to have been involved in the NLC (National Lotteries Commission) scandal and accused of siphoning lottery grant funding intended to be used for community development projects.

According to Sunday World, it was alleged that the music boss and his family posed an unfair advantage to other bidders for tenders. As a result, Mafokate company Roadshow Marketing reportedly amassed more than R13 million in tenders from the Gauteng department of sport, arts, culture and recreation.
