Former Disney actress Bridgit Mendler becomes the CEO of a newly launched space startup called ‘Northwood Space’.

On Monday, 19 February the former Disney Channel child star, Bridgit Mendler becomes the CEO of a newly launched Space startup called Northwood Space.

FROM DISNEY STAR TO SPACE EXPERT

 Bridgit announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that she will now serve as the CEO of Northwood Space.

According to Bridgit, Northwood Space is a startup that’s objective is to create a data highway between earth and space.

“At @NorthwoodSpace we have our sights on building a data highway between earth and space. We are designing shared ground infrastructure from first principles to expand access to space”, Mendler shared.

Bridgit Mendler continued: “We have a lot of work ahead of us, but that’s the fun part,” wrote the Good Luck Charlie alum in her announcement.

The company has already received $6.3 million in funding, per Mendler’s tweet.

BRIDGIT MENDLER IS A MAMA!

In addition to news of her new space venture, Bridgit also shared some exciting news.

In a follow up tweet, the former Disney actress revealed that she is a mom to a 4-year-old boy.

“The other news I wanted to share is I’m a mama to a sweet 4yo boy”, she shared.

Bridgit Mendler also noted that she adopted her son in 2022, after fostering him in 2021.

“Started fostering in 2021 adopted near Christmas of 2022. I’m so lucky, being a parent is the biggest gift and most defining experience there is. That’s my news for now folks”, the space startup CEO shared in her tweet.

Bridgit Mendler is currently married to Griffin Cleverly, who will be serving as the startup’s chief technology officer. According to People magazine, the couple tied the knot in October 2019.

“It was magical. There was a great sunset, and there was actually even this dude who built a sandcastle behind us while we were getting married in his board shorts, constructing this beautiful, amazing sandcastle. While we are doing our vows, I could just see him in my eye line”, she shared.
