Rihanna has just slammed a fan who left a comment saying they hated her sons’ names. The singer is famous for her honesty and for defending herself and her loved ones against criticism.

Where did the fan leave the comment?

On 8 March 2025, Rihanna shared a post on her Instagram to celebrate International Women’s Day. In the post, the 37 years old singer shared pictures of herself after giving birth to her two sons RZA, 2, and Riot Rose, 19 months.

The singer then explained what does being a mother mean to her in the caption of the post. She wrote: “by far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman…my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay”

She also mentioned her appearance in the two pictures where she wears pearls and glasses, despite just giving birth.

“And yes I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses…don’t ask, a lot was happening,” the singer wrote.

While thousands of comments were lovely and praising her looks, one fan left a comment that encouraged Rihanna to respond to.

What did the comment say to Rihanna?

According to E! News, the now-deleted comment was left by a fan who wrote “I hate their [Rihanna’s sons] names so bad.”

This uncalled-for criticism made Rihanna respond in return as the singer tagged the user who left the comment and wrote: “Ok tatiana.” This isn’t the first time Rihanna has responded to criticism.

People know Rihanna for her clapbacks

The singer has delivered iconic clapbacks throughout the years whenever someone criticises her. She also always stand by her loved ones including A$AP Rocky.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Rihanna was quick to correct the interviewer who told her she has a sweet nature.

“I’m not that sweet, but I am honest,” the singer said back then. People can see her honesty in her responses

The meanings of the names of Rihanna’s sons

The names of Rihanna’s sons have unique meanings behind them. RZA is inspired by rapper Robert Fitzgerald Diggs who is known as RZA. He is part of the hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan. This specific name choice reflects Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s love for hip-hop.

On the other hand, Riot was inspired by Pharrell Williams who worked with Rocky on one of his songs titled the same name.

“He [Pharrell Williams] gave us this name thinking it was going to be a girl, because he had seen something online. Pharrell is very deep. He’s not surface. He will never say anything and just leave it there with a full stop. He will have the entire history: the energy, the time, the month that it is,” Rihanna told Harper’s Bazaar.

Fans looking for the comeback

In the Instagram post where the exchange between Rihanna and the fan took place, fans have been leaving comments searching for what they call the “tatiana comment.”

@___nininha___: “Where’s Tatiana?”

@nettiemaii: “Where’s that Tatiana comment?”

@abceddiefg: “I’m looking for tatiana…”
