Rihanna made a striking appearance at a Los Angeles court, supporting her partner A$AP Rocky during his ongoing assault trial.

RIHANNA STANDS BY HER MAN

The singer and business mogul, dressed in a chic trench coat and tan boots, has been a constant presence.

She continually demonstrates her commitment to Rocky, with whom she shares two sons.

A$AP Rocky’s real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers. He faces two felony counts of assault with a semi-automatic weapon, according to AP News.

The charges stem from an incident in 2021 where he allegedly shot at former friend A$AP Relli, Terell Ephron. This was during a heated argument.

Ephron testified that A$AP Rocky pointed a gun at him, threatened to kill him, and fired multiple shots. One of shots hit his hand.

THE CASE

Two 9mm shell casings were recovered from the scene, but police never found the weapon.

Relli told the court: “He turned around and then it was like BOOM!”.

A$AP Rocky has pleaded not guilty, and his defence argues that the weapon was a prop gun and that Ephron is seeking financial gain, according to Forbes.

If convicted, Rocky could face up to 24 years behind bars, a sentence that has captured the attention of fans worldwide, including here in Mzansi.

WITNESSES TESTIFY

Prosecutors have rested their case after calling five witnesses, including Relli. Relli then testified that Rocky fired shots at him during a confrontation, grazing his knuckles.

A$AP Rocky has pleaded not guilty, and his defence is arguing that he fired the prop pistol that only shoots blanks.

A$AP Twelvyy, a member of the A$AP Mob, is expected to testify for the defence, claiming the gun was a prop.

Earlier this month, A$AP Rocky declined a plea deal that would have resulted in a lighter sentence. The trial continues, and the outcome remains uncertain.
