EBEN ETZEBETH AND WIFE MARK 2ND WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Rugby star Eben Etzebeth and his wife, Anlia, are celebrating a significant milestone, marking two years of wedded bliss.
Anlia is undoubtedly one of the happiest women on earth, completely head over heels in love with her husband.
The actress took to social media to wish her husband a happy anniversary. She shared a picture from their special day when they tied the knot and captioned it, “Happy Anniversary, my love!! Thank you for making me the happiest woman on earth!!”
WHERE DID THEY MEET?
The couple has quickly become one of Mzansi’s favourite rugby pairs. They first met in October 2021 through mutual friends. In March 2022, Eben shared the news of their engagement in a post that read:
“Die begin van die res van ons lewe. Ek wou nog nooit so graag die ja woord gehoor het nie. Jyt my die gelukkigste mens op die planeet gemaak.”
Which can be loosely translated as, “The beginning of the rest of our life. I’ve never wanted to hear the ‘yes’ word so badly. You’ve made me the happiest man on the planet.”
In February 2023, they exchanged vows in a white wedding ceremony at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek, Western Cape.
Anlia announced her pregnancy shortly after the Springboks triumphed over the All Blacks to claim the 2023 Rugby World Cup title in October.
ANLIA PENS A SWEET BIRTHDAY NOTE TO HER DAUGHTER
The couple welcomed their baby girl in January 2023, and this January, they celebrated her first birthday, with Anlia sharing the special moment on Instagram.
“Our little wildflower. You are a whole 1 year old! 🫢�� May you forever remain the bubbling, barefoot little girl. May you leave traces on a dirt road that runs along rivers, May you always smell the wildflowers and the Summer rains kiss you gently, May the cattle greet you and the animals pursue you, and May you find a rainbow behind every cloud. 🌻🐴🐥🐮🌈,” she wrote.
Thank you for the best year of our lives,” she continued.
