An emotional Lebogang Tlokana known as The Funny Chef addresses DJ Peter ‘Mashata’ Mabuse’s killers in an Instagram video.
Celebrity chef and actress Lebogang Tlokana known as The Funny has taken to social media to speak to DJ Mashata’s murderers.
THE FUNNY CHEF: ‘I HOPE YOU ARE NOT AT PEACE’
The Champions star, The Funny Chef is heartbroken over her friend, DJ Peter “Mashata” Mabuse’s death.
Social media user @_BlackZA shared a video of Tlokana’s Instagram video on Monday where she’s addressing Mabuse’s killers.
“I hope you are not at peace because Mashata never bothered anyone. I hope you get killed the same way you killed him because this is f**n unnecessary. “
“You shouldn’t have. That’s all I have to say. Please give me some space guys,” concludes Tlokana.
The SABC reports that Mashata was not travelling alone when unknown gunmen opened fire on his vehicle.
Gauteng police spokesperson Col Noxolo Kweza on Sunday confirmed the comedian was gunned down in Soshanguve.
“The shooting involved two men aged 46 and 45 years during the early hours of today (Sunday). One victim died in hospital while the other was injured.”
“The two victims were driving near TUT (Tshwane University of Technology) in Soshanguve when shots were fired at their vehicle. The suspects fled and police are following several leads.”
DJ MASHATA: LAST PERFORMANCE
Social media users have shared the comedian and DJ Peter “Mashata” Mabuse’s last performance before he was gunned down.
His last performance was shared by @_BlackZA who captioned the video: “Mashata last night before he got shot. Yoh modimo” (oh my God).
In the video, Mashata is heard playing the late pop star, Michael Jackson’s hit song, Heal the World.
The DJ is also seen singing the lyrics: “Heal the world, make it a better place for you and for me and the entire human race. There are people dying…”
The Citizen reports that Mashata was transported to a nearby medical facility but died at Akasia Hospital.
A close relative Gugulethu Ngobeni confirmed the passing of Mashata and says: “It is with great sadness and sorrow that we inform you of the ultimate passing of our beloved son, uncle, brother, and colleague.”
Ngobeni said a family representative will keep residents posted on details of both the memorial and funeral services during the week
