Miss Universe 2024 first runner-up Chidimma Adetshina is trending as South Africans compare her current appearance to how she looked before relocating to Nigeria.

CHIDIMMA’S NEW LOOK SHOCKS MZANSI

Chidimma Adetshina is trending following her recent appearance on the Nigerian talk show Your View, which has sparked a major debate online.

The model appeared on the show looking different from her appearance during the Miss SA 2024 competition.

Her transformation has sparked a wave of comments on X, with users mocking her.

One X user, @keletsoMss, posted: “Chidimma. The DNA is now 99.99 clear.

Users on X took to the comment section to weigh in on her new look.

CHIDIMMA SAYS BOTH HER PARENTS ARE NIGERIAN

During the interview, the model made a revelation that has since sparked outrage online.

The 23-year-old said both her parents are Nigerian while talking about entering for Miss SA 2024.

“When I made it to the top 16, it sparked a huge reaction. People were asking, ‘How is Chidimma a South African?’ South Africans were not happy,” she said.

She further added: “They felt I wasn’t a good representative for South Africa and that I was taking a spot from a South African, which I thought was unfair because I am also South African.”

The host then asked for clarification on how she identifies as Nigerian, to which she responded,

“I was born in South Africa.” The host further asked her, “To Nigerian parents?” to which she confirmed, “Yes.”
