‘My bookings have been hacked’: Nkosazana Daughter scammed
Nkosazana Daughter is making headlines after her management revealed that a fake manager scammed her out of bookings.

NKOSAZANA DAUGHTER FALLS VICTIM TO BOOKING SCAM
Since her thrust into the limelight, she has been busy and booked. However, she has headlined several shows across the globe and has earned a fortune.
With several artists making a killing during the festive season, Nkosazana Daughter had a tough time with scammers who hacked her booking deals.
Taking to social media Nkosazana Daughter revealed that a person with the bank account name Mpho Mapeta has been masquerading as her manager and booking agent.
She said she was using her name to take funds from promoters and event organisers.
In a press statement, the singer regrettably informed people to stay alert that the booking number had changed due to it being hacked, and the person was “soliciting payments by sending invoices to promoters. Please avoid making payments of invoices,” she said.
Nkosazana Daughter also said promoters should double-check the details before paying.
“We strongly urge promoters to use the correct channels and make payments only to the official company’s account to ensure a smooth securing of talent and to avoid similar incidents in the future.
“We thank you for your understanding and patience, and we apologise to everyone who was scammed through this channel,” reads part of Nkosazana Daughter’s statement.
OTHER CELEBRITY VICTIMS
Nkosazana Daughter joins a host of South African artists who have been scammed.
Five years ago, award-winning actress and Ferguson Films co-owner took to Instagram to reveal that her production company’s name was being used to scam people.
Taking it to Instagram, Connie Ferguson said, “SCAM ALERT!!! #FergusonFilms does not have a Facebook account. However, there is a fake account advertising internships with the company! DO NOT inbox and send your details—for your own safety!
“BEWARE! If it’s not on our personal Instagram pages, it’s FAKE! Please don’t be used by fraudsters! Be vigilant and do your own due diligence if you have to! Just BE SAFE!”
