American actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry refused to go into detail on how he helped Prince Harry and Meghan Markle amid their exit from their royal duties in 2020.
TYLER PERRY REFUSED TO GO INTO DETAIL ABOUT HELPING PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE
American actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry, best known for his role as Madea, refused to go into detail on how he helped Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they quit their roles as senior working members of the royal family in 2020.
The pair fled to California and Perry lent the pair his California mansion, private jet and security team. In an interview with Sunday Times, he said that there was nothing to prepare the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for.
“I didn’t. Meghan is from California. She knows California well. So there was nothing to prepare them for,” he said to the publication.
Perry reportedly appeared to not be in the mood to answer any questions about Prince Harry and Meghan. He expressed that anything he says would turn into a headline.
““I will say this. What I learnt about mentioning them — because there’s this insatiable appetite to know all about them — is that any question that is asked becomes the headline of anything I say,” he said.
LIFE AFTER ROYALS
Prince Harry and Meghan eventually settled down in Montecito, California, where they started a new life with their kids. The pair tied the knot in 2018 and have two children together – Prince Archie (5) and Princess Lilibet (3).
