The 2025 Formula One season will feature 24 races, the third of which will take place in Japan.

The next battle is scheduled for the Suzuka Circuit on Sunday, 6 April.

The lights will go out at 07:00 (SA time).

Heading into the 2025 season, Max Verstappen is the defending drivers’ champion – for a fourth consecutive year – while McLaren are the reigning constructors’ title winners.

The first race of the 2025 season in Melbourne, Australia was won by Lando Norris in his McLaren, while in China last weekend, it was his team-mate Oscar Piastri who took victory.

After just two races this season, Norris leads the way with 44 points, ahead of defending champion Max Verstappen (36).

Mercedes’ George Russell is in third (35), ahead of Piastri (34).

As a reminder, the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix was won by Red Bull’s Verstappen ahead of his then team-mate Sergio Perez with Carlos Sainz in a Ferrari in third.
