As an Airbnb host, you open your home to strangers, hoping they’ll treat it with respect.

However, sometimes, the complete opposite occurs.

Shocking video

Ridhwaan Basa, owner of a R20 million Camps Bay property, shared a shocking video revealing the state in which guests left his home.

The footage shows filthy surfaces, unwashed dishes and stains left on items of furniture.

In addition, a stove top was completely destroyed, with the hobs seemingly ripped off.

However, most shocking perhaps, were the pool cue tips which appeared to have been chewed!

There was one ray of light for Basa, who expressed his gratefulness for Airbnb’s AirCover which allows him to claim for damages incurred.

@mahaliabuchanan shared, “Chewing the pool stick is diabolical 😭!!”

@zuriihouseofbeauty said, “This is bad and not fair at all. They should be named, shamed and they should pay.”
