The ANC is expected to announce the results of its new Top 7 imminently. Cyril Ramaphosa and Zweli Mkhize are hoping to be President.
The African National Congress (ANC) will announce the election results of its Top 7 positions at the 55th National Elective Conference in Nasrec, Johannesburg on Monday, 19 December.

The announcement will be made at a plenary convened by outgoing ANC Chairperson Gwede Mantashe.
The results were expected to be announced at 12:00, however, shortly before 11:00 delegates and members of the media were summoned to the plenary. At around 11:25, ANC Electoral Committee Head, Kgalema Motlanthe, dissolved the party’s current National Executive Committee. As previously reported, Cyril Ramaphosa is competing against the former Minister of Health Zweli Mkhize for the position of party leader. Whoever comes out on top will likely be the President of South Africa.

Deputy President: Paul Mashatile, Ronald Lamola, Oscar Mabuyane
ANC National Chairperson: Stanley Mathabatha, Gwede Mantashe, David Masondo
ANC Secretary-General: Mdumiseni Ntuli, Phumulo Masualle, Fikile Mbalula
First ANC Deputy Secretary-General: Nomvula Mokonyane, Tina Joemat-Petterson.
Second ANC Deputy Secretary-General: Ronalda Nalumango, Maropeng Ramokgopa
ANC Treasurer-General: Benjani Chauke, Pule Mabe, Mzwandile Masina (dropped out).
