Percy Tau’s NEXT CLUB revealed – Heartbreak for the PSL
There’s growing noise from North Africa that the future of former PSL star Percy Tau is all but signed off. What do you think of the move?
According to Arabic publisher Al-Arab, Percy Tau will join former Bayern Munich star Javi Martinez at Qatar SC following Al Ahly’s positive response.
The Bafana star has fallen out of the pecking order after an alleged falling out with coach Marcel Koller, prompting several clubs, such as Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, to monitor the 30-year-old months before the January transfer window.
A return to the PSL appeared in the works heading into January; however, Tau looks set to join the Qatari side, who sit eleventh (out of twelve) on the standings, fifteen points adrift from league leaders Al-Duhail.
Kaizer Chiefs praised by former player
Kaizer Chiefs were uprooted yet again yesterday, losing 1-0 to a struggling Cape Town City side who were ahead of last-placed Magesi by four points heading into the fixture.
AmaKhosi are enduring a dark chapter in their illustrious history, a club which former defender Siyabonga Ngezana believes shaped his career, recently winning Defender of the Year and Foreign Player of Year in Romania’s SuperLiga.
“Kaizer Chiefs played a big role in my life, on and off the field. I wouldn’t have been the person that I am today if it wasn’t for Kaizer Chiefs,” he told iDiski Times.
“The opportunity that I got, if it wasn’t for Chiefs I wouldn’t be in Romania. I don’t think I’ve been here. And apart from that, throughout my career at Chiefs, in terms of facing some of the things. playing for Kaizer Chiefs was one of my dreams and it came true.”
