Bafana’s Ngezana earns huge Europe contract – Salary revealed!
Romanian-based defender Siyabonga Ngezana has earned himself a massive pay rise. The Bafana man has been tearing it up.
As the youths would say, Siyabonga Ngezana has secured the bag.
It hasn’t taken long for the former Kaizer Chiefs enforcer to make a name for himself in Europe, helping his side lift the Romanian SuperLiga in his first season (2022/23) and the Romanian Super Cup the year after.
Ngezana has become instrumental in FC Steaua București’s (FCSB) recent success, so it’s no wonder they have tied the reigning SuperLiga Defender of the Year down.
Ngezana’s contract details
- R3.47 million (annually)
- R289,234 (monthly)
That makes Ngezana one of the highest-paid South African players.
Maswanganyi transfer rumours grow
A Bafana Bafana star who could soon join Negezana in Europe is Orlando Pirates magician Patrick Maswanganyi.
According to reports, former club UD Oliveirense are interested in luring the 26-year-old.
“It’s no longer just about an inquiry, it’s about negotiations now,” a Siya source confirmed UD Oliveirense’s interest in Patrick Maswanganyi.
“They really want him back in Portugal. They are looking at the progress he has made and they are happy to bring him back to Portugal. It will all depend on what Pirates are looking at or if UD Oliveirense can afford what Pirates will be asking for Maswanganyi.”
“The only issue that is there now is the R40 million that the club has put on Maswanganyi’s head. You know he is one of the best players now in the country and if the club wants that amount then UD Oliveirense should meet or make it even better than that. But since they are believed to have opened up negotiations then it will all depend on their offer that they table to Pirates.”
Maswanganyi’s desire to mimic Ngezana’s European career has been well documented of late. He could soon get his wish.
Should Ngezana be starting for Bafana Bafana?
