‘I saw the three new players’ – Orlando Pirates star wary of Kaizer Chiefs
Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs meet for the first time this season at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Orlando Pirates winger Deon Hotto says he does not know what to expect on Saturday from Kaizer Chiefs but praised the club’s new signings.
Amakhosi signed Tashreeq Morris, Glody Lilepo, and Bafana Bafana international Thabo Cele during the January transfer window. None of the three players have played a single match for the Glamour Boys but could make their official debut this weekend against the Buccaneers.
Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates meet for the first time this season at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon in a Betway Premiership. Hotto, who has been on of the Buccaneers’ best player this season, said he was aware of Chiefs’ new signings.
“I saw the three new players, I saw the one from SuperSport, the striker, a very good one,” said Hotto.
“He is a hard worker. The other two I really don’t know them. It does change the dynamic of the approach also.

“But I know, with the technical staff that we have, I know they are digging deep to try to get clips of those guys so that we just be prepared on what is coming for the weekend from those two guys. Because the other one (Morris), I know,” Hotto.
Saturday’s match will see Nasreddine Nabi coaching Amakhosi for the first time in a Soweto Derby. The 59-year-old Tunisian joined the club in July from Moroccan club AS FAR.
Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates meet at the FNB on Saturday afternoon. Kick off is for 15:00.
