I used to throw P. Diddy parties – Ex-Mamelodi Sundowns defender
Ex-Mamelodi Sundowns defender Tebogo Langerman was a disciplined player but admitted his problems started when he bought a house.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Tebogo Langerman has revealed how he used to splash money after buying his first house.
The 38-year-old retired footballer played for Masandawana for nine years winning over 10 trophies for the Tshwane giants. After leaving The Brazilians in 2021, he joined Moroka Swallows for just one season before hanging up his boots.
Speaking on Trap and Pass, Langerman shared his experience on buying his first house in the mid 2010s. The former Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns defender said the problems started when he bought a R3 million house in Ruimsig, west of Johannesburg.
“Remember I used to be the one without a house and then that time, I bought a house with a big swimming pool which all Sundowns players fitted in. After I bought the house, that’s where the problems started,” he said.
“The same day I received the house keys, I did a house warming. I invited everyone in the team except the coaches. At the time, I had R570 000 in my account after we had just won a trophy but I can’t remember which.”
Ex-Mamelodi Sundowns defender wasted money on friends and parties
During the podcast, Langerman revealed he splashed out over R400 000 on friends the same weekend he bought a house.
“I was living a good life and throwing P. Diddy parties. I did not allow the phone inside, no one was allowed to take pictures in that party. At that time, I didn’t have furniture, we had to order food and get on with the party,” he added.
The former defender said his relationship with ex-Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane was strained after he purchased a house.
“Buying the house ruined my career. It affected my relationship with the old man(Mosimane). After I bought the house, he held a meeting, it’s like he didn’t know how I bought the house. I wasn’t sure if i bought myself or if the club bought it for me,” said the former left-back.
Langerman did not give more details on what happened to the house but promised to return to Trap and Pass to finish his story. During his days at Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United, the former defender won seven league titles.
