Daniel Akpeyi arrived at the Swallows FC training grounds on Tuesday, much to the surprise of many after it was reported that he had joined Sekhukhune United.
Akpeyi, 36, has been without a club since his release from Chiefs at the end of last season as the club embarked on a mass clearance.

The Nigeria international had spent a little over three years with Chiefs, and he left without winning any major silverware.
Now, Akpeyi would hope to secure a move back to the PSL before the closing of the transfer window on Thursday after training alone for some time.

As things stand, Swallows have Thakasani Mbanjwa as their No.1 while there is Sanele Tshabalala, and perhaps they need another goalkeeper after Thela Thela was converted into a goalkeeper coach.

And Akpeyi fits the profile given his experience and understanding of South African football having been in the country for over seven years now.
In his seven years in the PSL, Akpeyi played 175 matches for both Chiefs and Chippa United, conceded 168 goals and kept 63 clean sheets.
