Kaizer Chiefs to receive youthful boost – two signings inbound!
Kaizer Chiefs are preparing three-year deals for two rising stars. The Glamour Boys face Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
Kaizer Chiefs have a handful of academy stars at their disposal.
Wandile Duba, Mduduzi Shabalala and AmaKhosi’s most recent graduate, Mfundo Vilakazi, are prime examples of their ability to turn boys into stars.
Up next are Naledi Hlongwane and Siphesihle Tati. Both are expected to sign three-year deals with the senior team.
Hlongwane update
“What I can tell you now is that the promotion process is as good as done,” SoccerLaduma reported.
“They have already allocated jersey number 35 to him and he travelled with the team to Durban for the game against Sekhukhune United. It was thought that he was supposed to have played the game, but they changed the decision in the last minute
“[Regarding] the contract, it’s an initial three-year senior team contract and it will run until June 2028. So, yes, things are working out for the youngsters at Chiefs right now.”
Tati confirmed
“They [Kaizer Chiefs] were looking at signing at least one more attacking midfielder but the team’s scouts and the youth technical team have now recommended that Tati be promoted instead as he already understands the club culture and can easily fit into the team,” a Siya source confirmed.
“The only thing I am not sure, and I don’t know is whether it will be now in the last half of this season or next season,” they added.
“But all the logistics for his promotion has been finalised and just like Naledi Hlongwane, Tati is set for promotion to the senior team. And it’s because of this that the club is offering him a three-year deal,
“They are convinced that he has what it takes to be part of the team and help it in some way hence the three-year contract is worth it.”
