Kaizer Chiefs employ new transfer strategy to bypass rivals
Kaizer Chiefs mean business.

Kaizer Chiefs boss Nasreddine Nabi has employed a new transfer tactic: target overseas players.
This comes after months of unsuccessful negotiations with South African clubs – Nabi believes buying abroad is more manageable than domestically.
“The coach has apparently noticed that signing players from rival teams locally is very difficult and that’s why they want to see if they can get players from outside South Africa,” a SoccerLaduma source noted.
Overseas targets
Linked with several overseas stars, including Fiston Mayele, Luke Le Roux, and Yaya Sithole, the Glamour Boys have wasted no time implementing their new strategy.
“Of course, the club is still to get the players they need locally but if they can’t then they will go outside the country and that’s why they have reignited their interest in Yaya [Sithole]. He is actually back on their radar,” a source revealed.
“They believe he can complement the team very well with the current midfielders of [Gaston] Sirino, [Mdu] Shabalala, [Ox] Mthethwa, [Thabo] Cele, [Yusuf] Maart and even [Edson] Castillo. So, they will be looking at how they can bring him in now.”
Cape Town City blunder
Kaizer Chiefs failed to climb up the table as they locked into a stagnant 0-0 draw with Cape Town City on Wednesday evening. AmaZulu and Polokwane’s losses prior to the game meant a win would elevate them to sixth on the log.
In a post-match conference after the game, defender Inacio Miguel called for consistency, saying, “What defines us will be consistency, and that is what we are searching for because the difference between good teams and average teams is consistency,
“If we can maintain that and continue to have a winning mentality, we can climb higher than where we are now. That would mean we are developing and growing.
