Kaizer Chiefs to part ways with another defender?
Kaizer Chiefs sold Thatayaone Ditlhokwe in February but could release another defender by the end of the season.

Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly looking to let go of one of their defenders at the end of the season.
Amakhosi have hardly used Zitha Kwinika this season and with his contract coming to an end in June, reports emerge that the Soweto-born defender might be let go. Having come from Kaizer Chiefs development, the defender was loaned out to Chippa United before moving there permanently in 2016.
Having impressed at Stellenboch, Kwinika rejoined Kaizer Chiefs in 2022 and immediately impressed under coach Arthur Zwane. For the next two seasons, the ex-Stellies defender struggled for game time and at 31, a move away from Naturena might revive his career.
Kaizer Chiefs defender might start looking elsewhere
He only played 14 minutes against Sekhikhune in January. With Nasreddine Nabi preferring the centre-back pairing of Miguel Inacio and Rushwin Dortley, Kwinika is the fifth choice with Given Msimango and Happy Mashiane used as backups.
In February, Kaizer Chiefs announced that defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe was sold to Libya’s Al Ittihad Club for a fee of R15 million.
The Botswana international leaving did not open a door for Kwinika, and despite him appearing on the bench in most of the matches, Nabi appears to not have confidence in him. According to Soccer Laduma, the defender might look elsewhere next season with his contract unlikely to get renewed.
Should Chiefs release Kwinika at the end of the season?
