Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly ready to promote attacking midfielder Siphesihle Tati.

The 20-year-old star has been making a name for himself in the reserves league, prompting AmaKhosi to secure his future with the Glamour Boys.

Tati is expected to sign a three-year deal with the Soweto giants.

Tati’s future confirmed

“They [Kaizer Chiefs] were looking at signing at least one more attacking midfielder but the team’s scouts and the youth technical team have now recommended that Tati be promoted instead as he already understands the club culture and can easily fit into the team,” a Siya source confirmed.

“The only thing I am not sure, and I don’t know is whether it will be now in the last half of this season or next season,” they added.

“But all the logistics for his promotion has been finalised and just like Naledi Hlongwane, Tati is set for promotion to the senior team. And it’s because of this that the club is offering him a three-year deal,

“They are convinced that he has what it takes to be part of the team and help it in some way hence the three-year contract is worth it.”

Duba out for Soweto derby

Wandile Duba will miss the upcoming Soweto derby on Saturday:

“He [Duba] went for scanning yesterday and that’s when they (Chiefs doctors) were sure that he will be out for about a month and a half. He will actually be out for 42 days. It’s a knee injury. He twisted it and got injured. Very bad, my brother, but 42 days is not that bad though.”

Should Kaizer Chiefs promote another youngster?
