Kaizer Chiefs Transfer News: Brazilian striker Pablo
A Brazilian Khosi?
Kaizer Chiefs, fondly known as Amakhosi, have been linked with another South American footballer from Brazil.
PABLO FELIPE TO KAIZER CHIEFS?
According to Soccer Laduma, the 32-year-old, Pablo, without a club since leaving Athletico PR in December, has been offered to Kaizer Chiefs and several other local clubs. “The player’s name is Pablo Felipe Teixeira, and he is keen on a move to PSL,” the source told the outlet. “He is a good player who can fit in at any of the big clubs in the PSL. Attempts have been made to let big clubs such as Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns aware of the player’s availability and, his camp will take it from there even if it will be for the next transfer window,” the source added.
Pablo’s most recent available statistics reveal 11 goals and two assists in 53 games during the 2023/24 season before Athletico were relegated to Serie B.
KAIZER CHIEFS AND THABO CELE
Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs made Thabo Cele well-known in Mzansi thanks to the club’s consistent links with the 28-year-old midfielder.
The Durbanite was linked with Amakhosi not once but three times in as many years. In 2021, Cele was leaving Benfica B, instead of moving to Kaizer Chiefs, he signed for Cova Piedade in Portugal. Before joining Radomiak in Poland and Fakel Voronezh in Russia, respectively, Cele nearly become a Khosi. According to the latest news, Cele has Fakel Voronezh and is available as a free agent. “Due to serious health problems in the family, the midfielder and the club agreed to terminate the contract,” the club said. “He can only play for teams from South Africa until the end of the contract”.
BOBBY MOTAUNG FOR KAIZER CHIEFS LEADERSHIP
Remember Siboniso Gaxa at Kaizer Chiefs? The former full-back has suggested that Kaizer Motuang Jr is not the right man to lead the club.
Speaking on Robert Mawara’s SportsWorldWide show on 947, Gaxa believes that Bobby Motaung, who is the club’s Football Manager, should replace his Sporting Director brother, Kaizer Motaung Jr. Gaxa feels Kaizer Chiefs would then reclaim their lost glory. “I always think that Bobby should be given full responsibility, not half, but full responsibility to run the club. Bobby is an exceptionally incredible man. It’s unfortunate that people that don’t understand him, don’t know him.
“If Jessica Motaung [Marketing Director] and Bobby, both of them, can be given full responsibility to run that club; I strongly believe they would make exceptional changes. The club would then do well,” the former Kaizer Chiefs defender added.
Asked who should be removed to allow Bobby and Jessica to take charge, Gaxa said he would not know.
