Kaizer Chiefs are highly expected to introduce a new goalkeeper ahead of the 2025/2026.

MALI INTERNATIONAL TO KAIZER CHIEFS?

According to Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi coach Nasreddine Nabi is reportedly targeting the Mali international Djigui Diarra after working with the 30-year-old at Young Africans in Tanzania.

Meanwhile, Rwanda international Fiacre Ntwari is facing the exit door. His last appearance for Kaizer Chiefs was in November 2024. Bruce Bvuma remains the number choice, followed by Brandon Petersen.

KAIZER CHIEFS STAR NKOSINGIPHILE NGCOBO IN NEW ROLE

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has placed Ngcobo in a new playing position.

It’s been clear for all to see that the 25-year-old Ngcobo has struggled to grab and own the number 10 position at Amakhosi. Wednesday night saw coach Nabi deploy him as a deep-lying playmaker in the number six-cum-eight role. According to the former Kaizer Chiefs number six Katsande, Ngcobo was top class.

“The few minutes he got last night were UNBELIEVABLE,” the legend said via Instagram. “He controlled the tempo of the game very well. Keep it up, my son.”

NASREDDINE NABI PROTECTS NJABULO BLOM

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has created high anticipation among the Amakhosi fanbase.

Out of 20 league games, the 25-year-old from Soweto has started less than 10 games for Amakhosi. Last Wednesday was the most awkward moment when he was taken off at halftime during the 1-0 win over Magesi FC at the FNB Stadium.

“I don’t want to judge the performance of one of my players here [in the media],” said Nabi via FARPost. “We will look at different data and videos about his performance to try to find out why [he struggles].

“We [technical team] as well believe that he was not in his best condition tonight [against Magesi], and it was not as well his best performance, that we [can] agree on. But we will take a look at it using every tool that we have,” the Kaizer Chiefs mentor added.

CAN BLOM TURN IT AROUND AND BECOME A KEY PLAYER FOR THE TEAM?
