Orlando Pirates are reportedly days away from confirming Kabelo Dlamini’s contract extension.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic has been integral to the Buccaneer’s recent success, edging out youngster Karim Kimvuidi for the starting role alongside defensive midfielder Thalente Mbatha.

The talented 28-year-old, whose contract runs out at the end of the season, is due to accept a two-year deal with the option to extend it to three.

“As we speak now, I can say the deal is as good as done. All the parties involved are happy with the new deal and that’s why you can see that the player is also happy whenever he is given the opportunity to play,” SoccerLaduma confirmed.

“So, for now, I can tell you it’s a two-year contract with a one-year option until June 2028.”

Mofokeng to North Africa?

Orlando Pirates phenom Relehobile Mofokeng is attracting serious international attention as he continues to solidify himself as the face of the league.

“Wydad Athletic are in advanced negotiations with South African club Orlando Pirates over the potential signing of 20-year-old striker Relebohile Mofokeng according to Moroccan media,” SoccerLaduma reported.

“According to Moroccan publication Lesiteinfo Wydad have made a tempting financial offer to Pirates for the young forward, with the South African club reportedly leaning towards accepting the bid,

“Mofokeng, who is considered one of South Africa’s brightest rising stars, is said to be open to the prospect of working under his compatriot, Rulani Mokwena, at Wydad. However, while the offer from Wydad is enticing, a move at this stage seems unlikely.”
