Orlando Pirates: Jose Riveiro keeps it short on Monnapule Saleng’s future!

Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro kept it blunt when asked about the future of Monnapule Saleng.

“I don’t speak about the health of my players; it’s something that belongs to a private space. And the moment that the club feels that it’s the time to speak about which players are injured, how long they are going to take, and which moment of the process (of recovery) they are in, they will do it. It’s not part of my job description, (and) it’s not an ethical thing,” the Buccaneers coach stated.

“I know it will be nice to know how close is Olisa [Ndah] or [Goodman] Mosele and what’s happening with Saleng but it’s not going to happen.”

Broos on Mofokeng future

Another Orlando Pirates star facing an uncertain future is Relebohile Mofokeng, who has several foreign clubs gunning for his services.

Bafana boss Hugo Broos believes the 20-year-old will leave after this season, saying, “Talking about Mofokeng, I just hope that he makes the right decisions. And that he is not going to a team where he won’t play,

“I see all the things around, Barcelona and Rangers and… (sighs) I’m a little bit afraid. I just hope that the people around make the choice of the best sportive solution and not the best financial solution.”

“Okay, I think his parents want the best for him, that’s for sure. But there is another guy who wants to win a lot of money also, but that’s the problem. But ok, let’s hope, maybe I talked too soon about that,

“We’ll see. I think in June, Rele will not be a player of Orlando Pirates anymore, but a good choice is very important.”
