Orlando Pirates have shortlisted several stars in preparation for the offseason transfer market.

The Buccaneers are yet to make a signing this year following a dreadful January window, which saw the Soweto giants come up short on several stars, including Oswin Appollis, Jaedin Rhodes and Fawaaz Basadien.

Winger Monnapule Saleng has been missing from action for nearly four months, sparking speculation of an offseason exit; however, one source close to the club believes the saga can be resolved, keeping him at the club for years to come.

“It’s the matter that is for the club and his handlers and it has nothing to do with his performances on the field. If it gets sorted in the office before the end of the season, there is a chance that he can return to the field, as far as I understand,” the source confirmed.

Zindoga signing imminent?

Gallants striker Junior Zindoga may only be three months into his PSL spell, but he has already caught the eye of Orlando Pirates. The 26-year-old has converted one goal since joining in January.

“The boy has been impressive, and Pirates are one of the clubs monitoring him,” SoccerLaduma reported. “His physical presence upfront and his high work-rate have made him a stand out.”
