‘Pirates would be top of the log if they sat down with Saleng sooner’
Orlando Pirates supporters are demanding the club ti bring back Monnapule Saleng after dropping points to Stellenbosch FC.

Many Orlando Pirates fans are convinced that the club would have been in a better place had they solved issues with star player Monnapule Saleng.
The 27-year-old winger has not played a single match for the Buccaneers in over three months. It is believed the player is disputing his salary and demands an improved contract. The club has not spoken out publicly on the matter regarding salary disputes. Pirates, however, did refute claims that Saleng was offered big money by a team from the Middle East.
With the Buccaneers failing to keep up with Mamelodi Sundowns, many fans have bashed the management for failing to solve the situation with the winger. Some fans though felt the Soweto giants showed maturity by not giving in.

Orlando Pirates keeping Saleng out

“Orlando Pirates really killed their league chances by fighting with Saleng over his contract and not signing Appolis to replace him.
If Saleng wanted R700K they should have gave him,” tweeted @UjobeUthami.
“People can say whatever they want but the fact will always remain that we lost the pillar of Orlando Pirates in Monnapule Saleng. I pray that the management sort out whatever the issue so that he could be reinstated into the team for Nedbank& CCL,” tweeted @SthehSobethu.
Saleng played his match in three months for Bafana Bafana during the CHAN qualifiers. He has since been recalled by the Buccaneers.
Can the Buccaneers find a way to bring Saleng back?
