Orlando Pirates are still fresh off a win over Kaizer Chiefs. How will they line up against Sekhukhune in their next test?

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The Sea Robbers have had a few days of rest after their narrow win over Chiefs in the Soweto Derby. It’s likely manager Jose Riveiro will field the same XI he did in the Derby. Patrick Maswanganyi’s cheeky 96th-minute panenka penalty was the decisive strike against Chiefs.

Chaine; Van Rooyen, Sesane, Sibisi, Hotto; Makhaula, Mbatha; Nkota, Maswanganyi, Mofokeng; Mabasa.

Mhango almost joined Kaizer Chiefs

Experienced Malawian striker Gabadinho Mhango, now with Marumo Gallants, wasn’t far from becoming a Chiefs player. The diminutive forward has an impressive tally of 17 goals from 68 caps in a Malawi jersey. He also scored 23 goals from 71 outings for Orlando Pirates.

“It wasn’t just talk, but I was about to go to Chiefs, and then things turned around,” Mhango told FARPost. “Up to now, I don’t even know what happened. But I remember I was at AmaZulu, and I actually travelled from Durban to Joburg to complete the move. I was happy that I was going to be at Chiefs, but then things happened.

“I was looking forward, but at the end of the day, I was disappointed as it failed to happen. However, I am loving the game and the place where I ended up,” Mhango added.
