Kaizer Chiefs are now 55 years old and the most decorated club in South African football has announced its plans to celebrate with their fans!
Kaizer Chiefs have turned 55-years-old and will be looking to celebrate that feat with their fans on Wednesday night.
Despite a near 10-year trophy draught, Chiefs are still the most decorated club in South African football history, however!
Chiefs celebrate their 55th Birthday with fans
In its 55-year history, Chiefs have won close to 100 official trophies. These include the league in its various guises over the years, domestic and continental cups! Having already lost their first game of 2025, they will be looking to win their first at home this year. This is also a fixture the club are using to celebrate their Birthday with their faithful supporters.
On their website and social media platforms, Chiefs announced they would subsequently be offering a 50% ticket discount to supporters!

“In celebration of Kaizer Chiefs’ 55th birthday, tickets for the fixture against Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday are priced at R30 each. This offering Amakhosi supporters a 50% discount for this unmissable occasion. This match follows Sunday’s tough 1-0 loss to Cape Town City in the Mother City. Chiefs will be eager to bounce back. This ensuring the supporters leave the stadium satisfied after Wednesday’s game. Their opponents, Stellenbosch, were in continental action last weekend, where they beat Angolan side, Lunda Sul, 2-0 in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday at Loftus Versfeld.
Tickets for the big clash between Amakhosi and Stellies can be purchased at the discounted rate of R30 at TicketPro outlets and online through the website www.ticketpros.co.za or in store at Spar and Boxer supermarkets, as well as select Sasol filling stations around the country. Amakhosi are encouraged to wear their colours and join the Club for the 19:30 kickoff on Wednesday.” Wrote the Chiefs website.
