Soon after confirming the new signings of Njubulo Blom and Bradley Cross this week, coach Nabi revealed that the club had an opportunity to sign an unnamed Portugal-based striker but was found not be of Kaizer Chiefs quality.
“Happy with Blom and Cross. More others are coming. It’s not easy to get the top quality,” Nabi said via Mazola Molefe’s X account.
“It’s not about the money. Kaizer Chiefs have the money. “It’s just coaches don’t want to lose their key players. It’s not easy. I want Kaizer Chiefs quality. I refused a striker that played in Portugal, he is not Kaizer Chiefs quality.
“I don’t want medium quality. We continue with the scouting to look for the best players,” Nabi concluded.
