US President Donald Trump was reportedly kept waiting by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin for a scheduled phone call, a Daily Express report claimed. As the Russian president was speaking to industrialists and businessmen at an annual event in Moscow, his press secretary Dmitri Peskov said that Vladimir Putin doesn’t know the time of the Donald Trump chat.

At the event, Vladimir Putin gave an anti-West speech saying that the West will continue to undermine Russia even if it lifted sanctions imposed over its invasion of Ukraine.

What White House Said About The Putin-Trump Call?
The White House said that the much anticipated talk between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin was delayed by nearly two hours, as per the Daily Express report.
Following the conversation, the White House said that talks on securing a ceasefire in Moscow’s invasion were “going well", AFP reported. Donald Trump has earlier said that he is ready to discuss what parts of occupied Ukraine that Russia will be allowed to keep.
Although Ukraine and its European allies remain sceptical of Donald Trump as they have said that the US President may cede too much ground to Vladimir Putin, a leader for whom Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed admiration in the past.
What Donald Trump Said Following Chat With Putin
Following the call, Donald Trump said on his Truth Social platform that “many elements of a final agreement have been agreed to, but much remains" to be settled.
The talks were “getting down to a very critical stage," he said.
