“The Big Dog” Roman Reigns’s opening promo didn’t exactly go as planned. The record scratch sound effect resonated through the arena and Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler arrived to interrupt, accompanied by Drew McIntyre.
These show stealers weren’t here to settle things through words. They came for brutal payback. Their beatdown on Reigns seemed relentless and unending until Seth Rollins ran in for the save.
Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns are still nowhere close to being on the same page. Lashley claims that tonight, Reigns will be “held responsible”.
Bayley and Sasha Banks went to their first counselling session. Much to everyone’s delight, this marked the return of Dr Shelby from the Team Hell No skits a few years ago.
Dolph Ziggler will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Seth Rollins in a 30-minute Iron Man match at Extreme Rules.
Finn Balor has some bad blood with Constable Baron Corbin after brawling as tag team partners last week. Corbin gave a little half-apology this week, and Balor was having none of it.
Things are finally coming to a head between Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley. They will go one-on-one at Extreme Rules. You bet it’s going to be a hoss fest!
The RAW Women’s Championship match between the champion Alexa Bliss and the challenger Nia Jax will now be an Extreme Rules match.
